Deputy Director

Md. Abul Kashem is an accomplished finance and accounting professional with over 14 years of progressive experience in audit, consultancy, and financial management across diverse industries in Bangladesh. Having passed 16 out of 17 papers under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), he brings in-depth expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, audit, VAT, and tax compliance.

He is currently serving as Deputy Director (DD) at Chowdhury Emdad & Co., where he plays a key leadership role in audit, assurance, and advisory services. His responsibilities include guiding audit teams, reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic advice to clients across manufacturing, textile, banking, and development sectors.

Prior to this, he served as Senior Manager & Head of Accounts and Finance at Ekhlas Spinning Mills Ltd. and held senior roles at Anwar Group (Textile Division) and Reedisha Blended Yarn Ltd., where he led financial operations, introduced SAP-based accounting practices, strengthened cost management, and streamlined tax and VAT compliance. His career began at ACNABIN Chartered Accountants (Baker Tilly International, Bangladesh), where he gained extensive audit and consultancy experience with clients such as the World Bank, UNICEF, ACI Ltd., Berger Paints, and PGCB.

With strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, Md. Kashem has successfully trained and supervised teams, developed feasibility studies, managed large-scale audits, and advised on financial efficiency. He holds an MBA in Accounting & Information Systems from the University of Dhaka and is proficient in Tally ERP-9, Microsoft Office, and SAP.
